Cloverway Inc. (abbreviated as CWi and Cloverway) was the international branch of the Toei Company, based in Long Beach, California. They were responsible for licensing the English Localization of the third and fourth seasons of Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Super S in 2000.
History[]
Cloverway specialized in distributing Toei properties for release in different countries, and often act as the middle man between distribution in Japan and distribution in North America. They also created remakes of anime theme songs in different languages for use in dubs. There are also some cases where Cloverway would dub some shows themselves.
The best known example of this were the dubs of Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Super S, which were dubbed by Cloverway in association with Optimum Productions Services in Canada. Their services are commonly used for Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Chinese releases. They are rarely used for English releases with music labels.
In Latin America and Brazil, Cloverway distributed and produced the Spanish Localization for five seasons, and the three Sailor Moon films, uncut.
