"Pretty girl! Would you like to dance with me at the ball tonight?"

Individual Happiness (also known as To Thine Own Self Be True[1]) is the 11th episode of Sailor Moon S. It was preceded by Mixed Emotions and followed by Birthday Blues Part 1.

Artemis is unable to find any information on the new enemy, the Heart Snatchers. Meanwhile, boys seem to be trying to spite Mina and not show interest in her. The exception is an athlete named Jamie, Mina's old friend and former teammate in volleyball. He asks Mina why she stopped playing volleyball, since she is so good at it. She is unable to answer.

Doctor Tomoe and Kaorinite decide to find a young athlete devoted to his sport, which fits Jamie's description. Tomoe gives Kaorinite a Daimon pod and sends her on her way, while Mina decides to return to volleyball. Kaorinite plants a Daimon pod inside a volleyball. Mina talks with Amara about making sacrifices, and later sees that Jamie has already got a girlfriend.

The volleyball turns into a Daimon named Haikyun, who attacks Jamie and his girlfriend, but Mina transforms into Sailor Venus and fights her. Haikyun traps Sailor Venus in a net and extracts Jamie's Pure Heart. Kaorinite discovers that it is not one of the three crystals. Serena transforms into Sailor Moon and sets Sailor Venus free with her tiara. Haikyun traps the Pure Heart in an energy volleyball and attacks them with it. She faces off against Sailor Venus, who uses her volleyball skills on it to defend them and the Pure Heart. This makes Jamie realize that Sailor Venus is Mina. Sailor Moon destroys Haikyun with Moon Spiral Heart Attack, and the Pure Heart is returned to Jamie.

  • First and last appearance of Daimon Haikyun
