  • That member just renamed Hotaru's page to Nicole on purpose. Can someone please ban them before they ruin more of the pages we've all worked hard on.

  • Hi Lily Ford, I've created a template Navbox for all the "Singers, Songwriters, and Producers" but it didn't ask me the template type, so now it's just a normal page. Is there a trick to converting it into a Navbox?

      Loading editor
    • Hey, there.

Usually, when you're creating a new template, you have to add "Template" first then the colon afterward, like so

"Template:Sailor Scouts" and you should be taken to a blank page that's labeled "Template page" under the chosen url name. All that's left then is tagging it with the navbox label.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    • Thanks for the tip! Also thank you for deleting all those pages for me. There are still a few edits that need to be done on pages that sources can't be edited by myself. I have left comments in the Talk pages for each. Whenever you can get around to it, I'd appreciate if you can check the suggested edits out. I'll continue to do that on future pages too.

    • No problem. I'll definitely get around to the talk pages as soon as I can.

  • Here's a quick 5 minute mockup I just did in Photoshop and just wondering what you think. I just feel with all the new content I'm creating for the dub wiki, that the overall look of the site could use a little bit of a refresher. https://i.ibb.co/Y04sf4b/Dub-Wiki-Colour-BG-Banner-mockup.jpg

    • Not a problem. This place finally looks like it has a pretty solid identity of its own now, so thank you for offering to make the pieces.

    • No problem. I've been spending a lot of my free time updating a lot of the pages, so I hope you don't mind me taking over so much. Also, if you get a free minute, can you please take a look at the Candidates for Deletion and the Talk's I have posted to edit some of the infobox's, templates, and categories? Thanks heaps Lily Ford!

  • Hello! I'm Sayuri and I've recently been assigned to be a Wiki Manager on your wiki! My job is to help be a liaison between staff and help the wiki with any issues that arise.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Thank you.

  • How do we remove categories from a page? It doesn't allow me to do so on the actual page itself (even in edit mode). There are some pages with incorrect categories, such as Hotaru and Pegasus labeled as "minor characters".

      Loading editor
    • The Categories should be fairly easy to remove.

You hit the edit button on the page, scroll down and on the right side of the page the "Categories" box has the selected tags.

Hovering the arrow over the categories chosen for the page should give you a pencil and a trash icon. Clicking on the trash icon should remove the category from the page, but it doesn't delete the category itself. Is this not popping up for you?

      Hope that helps.

  • Hi, was just thinking since I took down my Moonlight Soldiers website, you can remove it from the website links menu here. The web archive doesn't have all of the contents my original pages had, so I don't think there's any point leaving it there. I will update the Sailor Moon Dub Wiki as much as I can with the information I have gathered over the years though. Happy to be a part of the team :)

    • The text of the website is all I'm worried about as a citation, which is what the Sailor Moon Dub Wiki is using for references. Also make sure to cite any name changes you make to any articles regarding dub names, or at the very least add a the 'citation needed' template if uncertain.

That said, please familiarize yourself with the desired Posting Conventions of the Sailor Moon Dub Wiki and the articles that have been repaired thus far before making any further edits. Also, please avoid Copy and Pasting any content from the Sailor Moon Wiki since we're not dealing with the original version of the series but its English dubs.

Nice as it is to have someone else editing (seriously), there should be an effort to follow the repaired article format established thus far for consistency's sake.

Thanks for getting in touch with me.

    • No worries. A lot of my Moonlight Soldiers pages don't load off the archive, and I had a lot of outdated information, especially since I stopped working on it in 2014. I'm honoured though that my old fan site was used as a major source of dub information *blush* but I have learnt a lot since creating that site, and I hope I can help this wiki become more accurate.

Posting conventions seem to be quite a grey area with not many pages following this, or contain infoboxes with mixed information and categories of those infoboxes in need of rearranging and renaming (that's why I hesitated loading them until we get a better flow going). The Optimum Productions dub was my first introduction to Sailor Moon, so I would love to have a whole wiki devoted to this, meaning I believe any Japanese text references should be removed, and just a single link to a general Sailor Moon wiki page of the original character is sufficient.

In terms of copy and pasting, all edits I made and images I added over the last day were all things that just came to mind and screen-caps I created from my BDs at the time of editing. So, not sure if that was directed at me or others in general... I would prefer though if this wiki concentrated on the Optimum dub only, as Viz is just basically the Japanese version in English, which there are plenty of Wikis for.

There is a lot of effort to get this Wiki looking great on my behalf. I have many ideas and suggestions for formatting, backgrounds, headers, etc. and as you seemed to be an admirer of my old website, I thought you were the best to come to to discuss this, and all above points in finer detail if possible.

  • Why did you edit out the pre-intro scene for the Promise of the Rose when it actually was in the movie?

  • Do you have access to the Sailor Moon Dub Wiki homepage? Because I realized that whoever typed in the page misspelled “the” in the first sentence. I know it may be a small mistake, but I just thought it should be fixed! Have a good day!
