Molly Baker is a supporting character in Sailor Moon. She is a student at Crossroads Junior High School and the best friend Serena Tsukino. She is currently in a romantic relationship with Melvin.
Overview[]
Molly is 14 years old and her birthday is January 1[2]. Her mother, Susan Baker, runs the OSA-P Jewellery Shop. The Negamonster, Morga, impersonated Susan and drained energy from all the customers, but was destroyed by Sailor Moon by her Moon Tiara Magic attack.
Molly had fell in love with Neflite (under the guise of Maxfield Stanton) at one point. When Zoycite found out, she had three monsters kidnap Molly. Neflite saved her from them, but he was later killed. After Neflite's death, Molly became close to Melvin and becomes his girlfriend.
Her hobbies include shopping and she loves coconut fried shrimp[3]
Trivia[]
- Molly speaks with a distinct "Brooklyn accent", something her mother noticeably lacks. Speculation has led some fans to believe it is a reference to Naru's "Osaka accent" in the original Japanese version.[4]
- In the Sailor Moon Role-Playing Game Resource Book by Guardians of Order, Molly's birthdate is listed as being January 1st.
- In the episode "Smart Payoff", there is one line spoken by Molly recorded by Kathleen Laskey. The reason is unknown, but possibly Kathleen stood-in for a line that was missed during initial recording, or somehow lost.
- In the Mixx Ent. Novels her name is written as "Molly Brown" in one instance.
