Sailor Mercury Moving On?

"The Cosmetic Caper" is the fifteenth episode of Sailor Moon R. It was preceded by Serena Times Two and followed by Sailor Mercury Moving On?.

Rini goes missing, so Serena goes looking for her. She runs into Darien, who helps her look for Rini. They soon find her and take her back to Serena's house. Serena's father becomes angry when he finds out that Darien is Serena's boyfriend (as he thinks him too old for her), while her mother thinks he seems very nice and does not have a problem with it at all. However, it seems that Rini's earlier hypnosis of the Tsukinos has worn off as they do not recognize Rini, until she hypnotizes them again with an umbrella. Luna nearly succumbs herself before she snaps out of it and does the same to Serena. Though once again, Luna finds herself defiantly saying the Luna Sphere looks nothing like her when Sammy teases her about it.

Meanwhile, Rubeus tells Bertie that Crystal Tokyo of the future was built on several crystal points, at the center of which is the Crystal Nucleus. His plan is to take over the crystal points of Tokyo in order to destroy Crystal Tokyo, and sends Bertie to take over one crystal point.

Darien gets a vision of Crystal Tokyo and Serena being destroyed. The next time Serena sees him, he dumps her, saying he doesn't feel the same way about her anymore. Serena later goes to Darien's apartment to confront him about this, as Mina suggests that he may have just been in a bad mood, and finds Rini there. She suspects that Rini has "replaced" her. Poor Serena is constanly crying because of Darien breaking up with her.

Bertie summons a droid named Droido to help her take over the crystal point, located at a cosmetic shop Beauty 4 You. Serena goes to the shop in the hopes that makeup will make Darien love her again, but as Droido tells her that more men will be attracted to her if she wears more makeup, she does not fall for it, saying true beauty is on the inside. This makes the other customers leave, so Droido reveals her true form. Serena transforms into Sailor Moon and fights Droido. She is at a disadvantage until Tuxedo Mask shows up and reflects Droido's makeup attack at her, taking off her face. As she is redrawing her face, Sailor Moon destroys her with Moon Scepter Elimination.

Tuxedo Mask tells Sailor Moon he only came for old times' sake, and still does not love her anymore, so he then tells her to leave what's in the past where it belongs.
