Rini receives a letter from her mother, appearing from a pink spiral cloud, saying she hopes to see her soon, so she decides to return to the future. Serena and the others decide to throw a farewell party for her at Darien's house. When Rini finds out, she thinks they are doing this because they can't wait to get rid of her, but Darien convinces her otherwise.
Meanwhile, at the ruins of Mugen School, one Daimon has managed to survive the battle with Pharaoh 90, and enters the Heart Snatcher oven, combining with it to form Rangy, who begins to look for Pure Hearts.
After the farewell party, Rini returns to the future. Luna informs Serena of Rangy, so she and the others transform and go after Rangy, who is currently extracting Pure Hearts from people. They fight her, but she gains the advantage, with none of their attacks being effective against her.
Then, Rini returns as Sailor Mini Moon and attacks Rangy with Pink Sugar Heart Attack. Sailor Moon destroys Rangy with Moon Spiral Heart Attack, leaving only the Heart Snatcher oven, which falls and explodes, ensuring the end of the Heart Snatchers and Daimons.
Sailor Mini Moon says she's here to stay this time.
- This is the only instance of a monster of the week surviving after a final antagonist is destroyed.
- This is the first show in the Sailor Moon series that has a normal ending. At the end of Sailor Moon, the Sailor Scouts' memories are erased, and at the end of Sailor Moon R, there is foreshadowing of Sailor Moon S, as Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Doctor Tomoe, and Kaorinite are seen. In Sailor Moon S, there is nothing that hints that there will or won't be a sequel.
- The heart snatcher oven is destroyed!
